2022

In 2022 the Ensemble present the first performance of Bernard van Dieren’s Overture for 16 instruments since 1922 alongside music by Peter Maxwell Davies, John Woolrich and Elisabeth Lutyens’ “and suddenly it’s evening”.

2023

In 2023 Robin Holloway’s Fantasy Pieces marked his 80th Birthday, with music by Rupert Bawden, and the London premier of the Flute Concerto by the novelist Anthony Burgess, plus a commission from Sam Gray.

2024

In 2024 the chamber opera The fall of Lucifer by Geoffrey Burgon, two London premieres, The Verlaine Songs by John Pickard, and the Konzertstuck by the baritone Roderick Williams, and a world premiere from Eamonn O’Dwyer.

2025

In 2025 the Ensemble celebrated girl power
with an uninhibitedly enterprising programme

including the Piano Concerto by Judith Weir,
music by Elisabeth Lutyens,
Florence Anna Maunders and Kate Whitely,
a revival of the 291 commission from Anna Semple
and a new work from Sara Cattley,
together with the formidable Shir by Erika Fox.
